Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde and EU Commissioner Pierre Moscovici on Thursday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The meeting, which is considered crucial after the recent conclusion of the third programme review, has been scheduled for 17:00.
According to government sources, the debt issue will dominate the meeting. The IMF has repeatedly stressed the need to make the Greek debt sustainable while Greece’s demand to specify the medium-term measures for its settlement has already been put on the table.
At 15:00 the prime minister is expected to meet with Moscovici in order to discuss the next steps so that Greece exits the fiscal adjustment programmes and strengthens the growth momentum of its economy.
At 09:30 Tsipras will meet with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. At 10:45 he will meet with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama and at 12:30 with the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.
Τsipras will also meet with Johannes Hahn, responsible for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, at 13:30.
