Police arrested two traffickers and 50 migrants in northern Greece

Two individuals were arrested in Evros river on Sunday for attempting to bring illegally to Greece nine migrants with a dinghy from Turkey. According to police the arrest intercepted the illegal entrance of roughly 10 people that were waiting on the Turkish side of the river.

The suspects were sent to Alexandroupolis prosecutor .

At a separate incident, the driver of truck was arrested on Ormenio-Ardanio motorway for hiding in his truck 41 undocumented migrants. The driver did not stop at police’s sign and accelerated and a pursuit followed. Finally the truck crashed on a parked car. Three of the migrants were injured and were sent to Alexandroupolis general hospital.
