Policeman calls bomb disposal unit after stolen car is found near central bank

Police is on high alert in central Athens after a stolen car was found near the Bank of Greece on Thursday evening.

The car, parked on Omirou Street, was spotted by the policeman guarding the bank who alerted police, requesting details of the registration number. After it was confirmed the car was stolen, police closed off the road to traffic and called a bomb disposal unit to check if there’s a bomb in the car.
