Potami called on the government and the main opposition on Wednesday to behave responsibly over the issue of Novartis, after the case file on the ongoing investigation into alleged bribery reached parliament on Tuesday, where lawmakers will be called to decide whether to lift the immunity of the politicians mentioned in it.
“Parliament and politicians ought to handle the case file with responsibility and respect for the institutional parliamentary and judicial procedures. Potami will use all its strength so that the parliament does not turn into a Roman arena, but [instead] defends truth and justice,” the party said in a press release.
“Society doesn’t want political cockfights. It wants in depth investigation and convincing answers,” it added.
