The excellent bilateral relations between Greece and China and the deep friendship that binds the two peoples were reaffirmed at a meeting between President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Defence Minister of China, Wei Fenghe, at the Presidential Mansion on Monday.
Sakellaropoulou underlined that the momentum in the relations between the two countries was reaffirmed at the highest level during Chinese President Xi Jinping in Athens in November 2019. She also underlined that this year is the 15-year anniversary since the upgrading of bilateral cooperation into strategy.
Finally, Sakellaropoulou conveyed her thanks to the Chinese President for his warm message on the occasion of the bicentennial anniversary from the Greek Revolution.
On his part, the defence minister of China stated that his visit to Athens on Monday seals the two countries’ excellent bilateral relations and lays the foundations for the further strengthening of cooperation between them.
