Privatisation agency receives three bids for Equestrian Centre in Markopoulo

Three investment groups submitted binding offers in a concession agreement for the use and operation of the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Markopoulo for 40 years, the country’s privatisation agency (HRADF) announced on Monday.

The groups are:
– DIMAND SA Real Estate Development
– ELIA Constructions SA
– Markopoulo SA Development and Operation of Athletic Venues

The agency also received two bids for the exploitation of a property of about 12 hectares in the area Gournes of Hersonissos, near Heraklion, Crete.

The bids were submitted by:

– DIMAND SA Real Estate Development

– Jumbo SA

The files with the economic offers will be opened at the agency’s next board meeting. HRADF also said there was no interest for a property of 128 acres in Gournes of Hersonissos that was included in the same tender.

Concerning the separate tender for the acquisition of real rights and rights of use on real estate properties with development potential as Boutique Hotels, and specifically for the Mana Sanatorium in Vytina, in the region of Arcadia, HRADF declared Otus Hotel and Tourism Company as the highest bidder. Otus will lease the property for 50 years, with an initial rent of 16,600 euros, which would adjust as specified in the tender. The deadline for submitting offers for the Xenia hotel on the island of Thasos is January 28, 2015.

HRADF announced that no interest was expressed for the rest of the properties included in the Boutique Hotels file, or the Olympic Centre in Galatsi. In the next few days, the agency will re-evaluate the possibilities for the exploitation of these properties.
