Rouvikonas attacks electricity distribution agency building

Around ten members of the anti-establishment group “Rouvikonas” (Rubicon) damaged the building of the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DEDDIE) in an attack on Friday evening.

According to police, around 18:10 close to ten individuals threw rocks and broke the agency’s windows at Tritis Septemvriou Street, then threw paint at the building in downtown Athens.

On an online posting they said they attacked the agency because “during the last few months the Public Power Corporation has moved outrageously to power cut-offs, leaving hundreds of families every week without electricity.”
