Second meeting of the Greek-Turkish joint working group for the refugee and migrant crisis

Ways to strengthen Greek –Turkish cooperation in order to reduce the flow of refugees and migrants, as well as efforts to better combat migrant trafficking were discussed at a second meeting of the Greek-Turkish joint working group, which convened at the foreign ministry on Monday.

According to the ministry, an emphasis was placed on the need to implement a bilateral readmission protocol as well as measures agreed upon between the EU and Turkey to effectively reduce the unprecedented refugee and migration flows from Turkey that target Greece.
