Shipping Min Kouroumblis: Eurogroup’s decision needs to be evaluated

“The government had to make an agreement in summer 2015 because it had no alternative. However, we showed responsibility, we met the commitments of the agreement and now they are asking for further measures,” Shipping Minister Panagiotis Kouroumblis on Friday said in statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM.

“Most of the measures they have asked so far are anti-productive; the decision of the Eurogroup on Thursday is creating a new situation and it will be evaluated by the government,” he said.

The Minister also stressed the need to better handle the refugee issue as the situation is different from the one presented by the media.
