South Korean embassy to donate $800,000 to Greece to help refugees

The South KoreaN embassy said on Wednesday it is donating $800,000 to Greece to support the refugees “sheltered and cared for by the country”, adding the amount will be contributed through the UNHCR and used exclusively for the refugees living in Greece.

South Korea also contributed the same amount in 2016 and $1,500,000 dollars in 2015 to the refugees sheltered and cared by Greece for the same purpose.

“These contributions demonstrate the government of Korea’s commitment to offer its support for the emergency needs of refugees in Greece,” the embassy added.
