“The struggle for freedom, solidarity and peace must be constant, ideas for which the movement of Philhellenism has fought and which Lord Byron served in his life,” Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Amanatidis stated on Thursday. Amanatidis made the statement after the end of a series of events where he represented the government that were held on Thursday in Athens, on the anniversary of Lord Byron’s death and the Day of Philhellenism and International Solidarity.
