Sustainable growth needs a plan, SYRIZA’s Nikos Pappas says

Sustainable growth calls for careful planning, not favours to friends, Nikos Pappas, SYRIZA deputy responsible for the economy, said on Thursday after the withdrawal of two foreign investors from Helliniko project.

“Sustainable growth needs planning, not favours to friends that lead to the dissolution of labour and the environment,” he noted.

Pappas said that “the withdrawal of two foreign investors from Helliniko is a negative development for the economy in general… We hope that the investment moves ahead and that Lamda Development finds the money to complete the project,” adding that “the SYRIZA government had achieved a record number of direct foreign investments.”
