TechnipFMC to develop Energean’s fields in Israel

TechnipFMC, a global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services, agreed with Energean Oil & Gas to work on the project of “Front End Engineering Design” of facilities for the development of the Karish & Tanin natural gas fields in Israel.

TechnipFMC has a workforce of 44,000 in 48 countries and operates a fleet of 21 floating constructions, four of which currently under construction. It has great expertize in the development of deep water plans and has delivered some of the largest Floating Production Storage Offloading projects in the world. Energean Oil & Gas has chosen to use FPSO technology for the development of its two fields in Israel.

Mathios Rigas, chairman and chief executive of Energean Group, commenting on the deal said that the presence of TechnipFMC guaranteed an excellent planning and timely implementation of the development plan of the two fields and it is obvious will be strengthen the company’s resources with new and high-level know-how. It also confirmed that Energean was implementing its vision and emerges as a benchmark and leader independent company in the research and production of hydrocarbons in the wider region of Southeastern Mediterranean.

The Karish and Tanin fields are fully owned by Energean Israel, a subsidiary of Energean Group, and have an estimated capacity of 2.4 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
