Temporary traffic measures on Egnatia highway up to April 4

Temporary traffic measures will be imposed on the Egnatia highway in lanes from Thessaloniki to Kozani, starting on Monday and until April 4, due to the transportation of unusually heavy and bulky loads from Thessaloniki’s port to the Public Power Corporation (PPC) mine in Ptolemaida.

On the mornings of April 2-4, while the supersized trucks carrying these loads are on the highway, all vehicles will be barred from using the road between the Veria split-level junction (253rd kilometre) up until the Polymylos junction (227th kilometre) in the direction toward Kozani.

Cars and other small vehicles will be diverted onto the old national highway for the section between Veria and Polymylos while trucks over 3.5 tonnes will be diverted onto the Veria-Naoussa rural road.
