The bet is to exit the memoranda, Interior Minister Panos Skourletis said on Tuesday after the agreement between the government and the creditors on the second programme review.
He underlined that the Greek government is not to blame for the delay and stressed that “we have to make good use of the agreement in order to give the Greek economy the opportunity to regain the lost ground until 2019.”
In statements to public broadcaster ERT, he said that some issues that were supposed to have closed were raised again. The government made an effort to introduce offset measures in order to counterbalance the situation.
The government will now have to work so that these measures have zero fiscal impact on citizens, he stressed.
