“The government is implementing measures in order to render the recovery sustainable, constant and fair,” Minister for Digital Policy, Nikos Pappas, on Sunday said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
Regarding investments, he estimated that the climate is “very positive” adding that specific announcements will be made in the coming days.
Pappas also underlined that the state is aiming to provide access to new technologies to all citizens and added that the ministry will present its plans over the next days.
Asked on the next steps after the conclusion of the third programme review which has already been announced, he said: “What we have to do is to plan the next steps towards the future. The macroeconomic figures show that Greece has clearly and steadily entered a period of recovery. Our concern is to take those policy measures that will render the recovery sustainable, lasting and fair.”
The government has already started legislating these measures, he added, that have to do with the protection of the socially and economically weak, measures to facilitate the self-employed and reduce insurance contributions, measures that can really give a picture that Greece is changing.
The minister also announced measures that will reform and digitilise the public sector with the view to facilitating the Greek citizens.
