TIF 2018 will mark a ‘new era’ for Greece, Pappas says in USATIF 2018 message

The 2018 Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) in September will mark a new, post-bailout era for Greece, which is expected to successfully exit its financial assistance programme in August, Digital Policy, Telecommunciations and Media Minister Nikos Pappas said in a video message posted on the USATIF2018 (@USAIF_2018) Twitter site on Thursday.

“The 2018 TIF marks a new era for our people, a new era for the country. It takes place in September this year. A month earlier Greece is expected to successfully conclude the bailout programme. After eight years of crisis, the Greek economy is back to growth,” said Pappas, speaking outdoors, against a skyline dominated by the Athens Acropolis.

The United States will be the Honored Country at TIF 2018 and the USATIF2018 website and social media sites aim to promote and provide information on the trade fair and encourage participation in the American pavilion.
