Tourist arrivals at Rhodes airport up in June

Tourist arrivals in the island of Rhodes grew 9.27 pct in June this year, confirming early estimates that the island was expected to enjoy a very good tourism year in 2018.

According to data released by Fraport, tourist arrivals to Rhodes airport grew in June and were expected to continue growing at strong rates in the coming months, as the island seeks to extend its tourist season.

The number of tourists arriving in Rhodes airport totaled 403,497 in June, from 369,259 in June 2017, for a total of 1,873,906 tourists in the period from January to June (domestic and international flights).

Travellers from the UK, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Russia were the top five tourist arrivals in Rhodes.
