Trilateral summit between Merkel, Erdoğan and Tsipras on the refugees issue

Greece will call a mini trilateral summit with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the refugees issue, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said in an interview with Mega TV late on Sunday.

“We will take an initiative; it is the prime minister’s initiative that we support in practice as a Foreign ministry and we will call a meeting with the participation of Merkel and Erdogan on Chios island,” he stated.

“The date has not been decided yet,” he added, but “it could be early February.”
Merkel and Erdogan have in principle agreed on a discussion.
