Trilateral talks with Cyprus early in 2020, Greek and Jordanian foreign ministers say

The trilateral talks of Greece, Cyprus and Jordan will reconvene in the first quarter of 2020, Foreign Ministers of Greece Nikos Dendias and Jordan Ayman Safadi decided during their meeting in Amman on Thursday.

Speaking of his visits over three days to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan to promote Greece’s stance on the cancellation of the Turkey-Libya memorandum of understanding, Dendias called his tour to the Middle East “a very useful” one.

“Turkey has become involved in a fight it cannot win,” but Greece “will continue its efforts, with seriousness and moderation, to explain our position, and I believe that in the end we shall succeed.”
