Tsipras meets with new Chambers union leader Chatzitheodossiou

SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras met on Thursday with the new president of the Central Union of Chambers of Greece Yiannis Chatzitheodossiou, following his election after the sudden death of Constantine Michalos.

On a Facebook post, Tsipras said that Chatzitheodossiou is “assuming a particularly important and the difficult project for the survival and development of healthy entrepreneurship in the outstandingly hard conditions of the pandemic, as well as the obstacles the government is setting by refusing to stand on its side and deal with the problems of liquidity, the ballooning of private debt, and the exclusion of small and medium-sized businesses from the resources and opportunities of the Recovery Fund.”

Syriza, he said, has stood by productivity agencies and chambers, as well as businesses and employees through documented proposals and sincere collaboration with them, for the viable and fair restart of the economy.
