Tsipras speaks with US VP Biden on Cyprus talks

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras spoke on the phone with US Vice-President Joe Biden on Wednesday, on the ongoing talks on the Cyprus issue, his office said.

Tsipras noted Greece’s commitment in finding a just and viable solution to the Cyprus issue on the basis of UN resolutions, without guarantees and occupying armies and for the benefit of all the people of Cyprus.
Biden also spoke with Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades with whom he discussed developments in Geneva last week and specifically about the comments made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during the conference.
