SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras will be meeting with union representatives of health workers and of teachers over the next few days about the course of the coronavirus pandemic, the main opposition party announced on Monday.
On Tuesday, November 30 at 15:00 he will meet with the Panehellenic Federation of Public Hospital Workers, and at 16:00 with the Association of Doctors of Athens & Piraeus Hospitals.
On Wednesday, December 1 at 16:00 he will meet with the Federation of Hospital Doctors’ Associations.
On Friday at 10:30 in the morning he will meet with the Greek Primary Teachers’ Federation, and at 11:30 with the Greek Federation of Secondary Education State School Teachers.
In its announcement, SYRIZA said that Tsipras’ meetings are being held in view of the government’s “inadequate management of the pandemic, and of the necessary measures that must be taken to prevent thousands more deaths and a destructive lockdown.”
