Twelve people linked to anarchist group to face trial on misdemeanors

Twelve people which police say have identified as members of the anarchist group “Rouvikonas” have been indicted for four misdemeanors, authorities said.

They are facing charges of aggregated damage to foreign property, disturbing the smooth operation of a civil service, of violence and disturbing the peace.

The indictment concern the group’s storming of the ministry of defence, a doctor’s office in “Evangelismos”, the state electricity distributor DEDIE, as well as causing damages at the house of the German ambassador, the embassy of Saudi Arabia and the courthouses of Larisa.

The investigation was ordered last October by Supreme Court prosecutor Xeni Dimitriou who asked prosecutors investigating the case to join the separate files against the group.
