Two arrested for drug dealing on Crete

Police on Tuesday arrested two people after finding drugs in a car pulled over near Heraklion, Crete.

The driver and one passenger, a 37-year old local man and a 34-year old Morrocan man were arrested.

In the car, police found 165.5 grams of heroin, 1,620 euros cash and four cell phones. A search in open-air locations used by the two suspects revealed another six packages containing 278.1 grams of heroin.

The Moroccan also presented stolen travel documents issued by the Czech Republic.

Both suspects will be appear before a Heraklion public prosecutor.
