Two passengers slightly injured in ‘Seajet 2’ collision during docking

Two passengers suffered slight injuries when the high-speed ferry “Seajet 2” collided with the pier as it was docking in Sifnos harbour on Wednesday. One was slightly injured on the forehead and the second in the neck area. The remaining 194 passengers on the ferry disembarked safely.

The high-speed catamaran has suffered damage to the bow section of the right-hand hull and has been forbidden to set sail in order to complete its journey. The ship was travelling from Piraeus to the Cyclades, with stops at the islands of Serifos, Sifnos, Milos, Folegandros, Santorini, Koufonisi, Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini, Folegandros, Milos, Sifnos, Serifos and back to Piraeus.

Arrangements to get the passengers bound for the other islands to their destinations will be made by the ship owner.
