Two Turkish lifers escape from Kassandra prison

Two Turkish nationals sentenced to life imprisonment escaped on Thursday from Kassandra farm prison, taking advantage of the minimum-security conditions of incarceration applied at the specific facility.

The two Turkish men, aged 24 and 33, were serving life sentences for trafficking migrants and refugees.
The absence of the two inmates was detected at the daily roll call.
Police have launched a manhunt for the two fugitives.
