Unidentified woman rescued from the sea south of Piraeus

The crew of the passenger ferry “Agios Nektarios” on Wednesday reported the rescue of an unidentified woman found swimming at sea about five nautical miles south of Piraeus port. The woman was reported to be in a state of shock but otherwise in good health. There is no information, as yet, about how she came to be there.

According to the coast guard, the woman was put on a boat and taken to Piraeus port, where she will be picked up by an ambulance. The Agios Nektarios continued its journey from Piraeus to Aegina.
