“Vodafone Hellas continues its big investments in Greece. The acquisition of Cyta Hellas, following approval of the regulatory authorities, will further strengthen our goal to make Vodafone a modern provider of integrated entertainment and communication services,” Haris Broumidis, chairman and chief executive officer in Vodafone Hellas said on Wednesday.
Broumidis said the agreement will become an opportunity for the workers of both companies to strengthen their know-how, promote their talent and expertise and to enrich their skills. “Expanding our networks and strengthening our activities will offer even greater value to Vodafone Hellas and will have significant positive results for our expanded customer base and Greek consumers in general,” he added.
Vodafone agreed to pay 118 million euros to buy Cyta Hellas’ activities in Greece. The deal needs approval from the National Commission of Telecommunications and Posts.
