VP Dragasakis: The government requests continuously debt relief for Greece

The government requests continuously debt relief for Greece, government vice-president Yiannis Dragasakis said on Tuesday, speaking at the conference of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).

“The government ceaselessly demands a settlement of its debt issue, as the agreement itself states. Those who oppose it are a minority,” Dragasakis said, adding that the debt relief is “key” for the country’s inclusion in the European Central Bank’s quantitative easing program, regaining access to markets and achieving surpluses after 2018.

Commenting on the banks’ non-performing loans, he said the solution to the issue will give a great boost to the productive economy, noting this is a priority for the government.
