The economy of Greece recorded a growth rate of 2.1% in 2024, compared with the 2.3% gross domestic product increase announced in the first estimate in March 2025.
The country’s GDP reached 200.29 billion euros, up from €196.19 billion in 2023. According to the second estimate of the annual national accounts published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), final consumption expenditure increased by 1.3% compared with 2023.
Household consumption rose by 2.5% while general government consumption decreased by 2.6%. Imports of goods and services increased by 4.8%, and exports of goods and services were up 1% compared with 2023.
Gross capital formation recorded a strong increase of 17.4% while gross fixed capital formation grew by 4.5%.
